Peggy Kessinger, MBA, Certified Financial Planner™, Financial Advisor

Peggy Kessinger, Principal at Cedar Financial Advisors, LLC is living proof that planning for your dreams actually works. Inspired by her own success with the financial planning process, she became a fee-only financial advisor and trained Life Planner. Combining these two areas, Peggy listens to her clients and helps them to align their values, dreams and finances to create the lifestyle they desire. She specializes in assisting professionals with retirement planning and the college funding process.

Peggy Kessinger merged her practice into Cedar Financial Advisors in 2011 to enhance the level of service and commitment to her clients through an partnership arrangement.   Peggy is dedicated to helping clients steer their financial future.  She realized this passion after working 17 years with Intel, when her retirement strategies came to fruition. That evolved after the Plumper Pumpkin Patch & Tree Farm was underway, and the integration of adopted children with special needs. She had the foresight to earn a credential that goes beyond the typical advisor status as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. The aim is to enable a lifestyle that balances work and family priorities—and to free families from the anxiety of money fears. With this foresight, and an MBA under her belt, Peggy is dedicated to serving families—one life at a time.

Peggy understands firsthand what professionals face when it comes to making decisions with their money and navigating a work/life balance. Her attention to detail, follow-through and life planning skills, combined with her integrity and knowledge of personal finance enable her to work with clients to help them plan for and live the lifestyle of their dreams.   She lives with her family on the farm in the hills of Multnomah County: In her role as “Farmer Peggy,” she enjoys being a mom, farmer’s wife, and educator, leading farm talks for school field trips and family outings. She also volunteers extensively with her church, the PTA, Scouts, and various community organizations.

Peggy is a past regional board member of NAPFA, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors and a member of FPA, the Financial Planning Association. Consumers and the media look to NAPFA for access to financial advisors who meet the highest standards for professional competency, comprehensive financial planning and Fee-Only compensation.
